Public Open House – From Warhol to Banksy

Jan 4 | 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join us on Saturday, January 4, from 10am – 5pm for the Public Open House for the exhibition, From Warhol to Banksy, organized and circulated by the Kelowna Art Gallery, and curated by Christine May.

From Warhol to Banksy invites visitors to view works of art that define the Pop Art movement and highlights the careers of some of the art world’s most iconic figures. This exhibition features works by artists Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Takashi Murakami, Banksy, and Mr. Brainwash.  Pop Art, known for its commentary on consumerism, social consciousness, and, more recently, activism, is not just a phenomenon of the 1960s.

The exhibition will be complemented by a selection of works drawn from the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria’s Permanent Collection.

Admission is FREE all day, thanks to Feel Free days, generously supported by TD Bank Group.
