Soundtrack

Soundtrack celebrates the powerful interplay between art and music, offering music organizations and schools a platform to collaborate with the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. Running from October to June each year, Soundtrack invites emerging musicians to compose original works inspired by the Gallery’s collection.

In the fall, participants receive a private guided tour of the exhibition, A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV Collections, as well as unlimited access to the Gallery and the Learning and Engagement team throughout the program, deepening composers’ understanding that informs their musical creations. The finished musical compositions are showcased in celebratory concerts at the Gallery in the spring and integrated into the exhibition, providing a multisensory experience for visitors.
