Family Sunday: Looking at the Land
Oct 19 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmCome to the Gallery for a fun-filled and creative Sunday afternoon. Explore connections to the land around us through the works of contemporary artists in the exhibitions A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV Collections, Lekwungen: A Place to Smoke Herring, and Meryl McMaster: Bloodline.
Wander through the Asian garden to sketch the Garry oak trees, create a butterfly pin to wear, and explore the fascinating shapes and symmetry found in nature to make a one-of-a-kind graphite rubbings as we kick off this school year’s first Family Sunday.
Family Sundays are included with admission.
Admission is always free for the following groups:
- Visitors age 25 and under
- AGGV Members and See Art Pass holders
- Indigenous peoples
- Support workers
Family Sunday happens every third (and sometimes fourth) Sunday of the month from October – June, and is an afternoon of exploring hands-on art-making and ideas for all ages. This recurring program often features special guests like storytellers, artists, performers or musicians.
