Family Sunday
May 19 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmNext up for Family Sunday:
Sense of Awe
Bring family and friends and join us for an afternoon full of hands-on art making for all ages!
Create abstract landscapes inspired by Emily Carr’s artwork from the newly opened exhibition, A View From Here. By using colour, shape, and brushstroke, Carr was able to convey the sense of awe she felt in the forest around our city.
Families will be dazzled by the Ging Wu West Lion Dancers’ music and performances throughout the day in honour of Asian Heritage Month. Inspired by Andy Lou’s awe-inspiring landscapes, create a one-of-a-kind artwork using ink and paint. These are just a handful of the exciting activities planned to leave families in awe this Family Sunday.
Family Sunday happens every third Sunday of the month from October – June, and is an afternoon of exploring hands-on art-making and ideas for all ages. This recurring program often features special guests like storytellers, artists, performers or musicians.
