Drawing inspiration from the textiles showcased in the exhibition ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ‘ਚ ਤਰੇੜ | sheeshe ‘ch thareŗṛ | a crack in the mirror, participants will explore questions raised by artists Simranpreet Anand and Conner Singh Vanderbeek, exploring how everyday objects hold the stories of their origins, their makers, and their cultural significance. Reflecting on how these items transform through migration or mass production, participants will share their own stories, creating a mixed-media artwork focused on colour and texture, and learning basic sewing, embroidery, and making skills that encourage an appreciation for handmade artistry in a world influenced by mass production.
