Donna Jones
Secretary; President Gallery Associates
Donna first joined the Board of the Art Gallery in 1997, serving as a Board member and honourary Board member over a period of 12 years, retiring in 2009. Her connection with the Gallery began in elementary school, taking art classes in the Mansion along with many other lucky Victoria children. Donna is happy to be involved with an institution that continues to include programs for children.
Donna was a Victoria District School Trustee for thirteen years, serving as chair for three terms, as well as serving as president of two Provincial trustee organizations. Her longest association with any one particular group has been the 23 years she has spent on one or another of the Gallery’s “new building” committees working toward the goal of The Next Gallery.
Donna has been a member of The Associates of the AGGV since 2010 and has served as Vice President and as President. She is currently immediate Past President, continuing to be involved with The Associates who play a key role in the ongoing support of the Gallery, through fund-raising and advocacy.
