On Display
The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is proud to collaborate with artists, art historians, community groups and other cultural organizations to create engaging and relevant exhibitions.
Bags
Backpacks, duffel bags, purses & shopping bags: Please limit the size of your bag and leave any non-essentials at home or in your vehicle. All bags larger than 12″ x 12″ x 9″ are prohibited in the exhibition spaces. Exceptions will only be made for first aid and medical equipment bags. Thank you for your understanding.
Free Lockers
We have several lockers with keys in our coat room. You are welcome to store your personal belongings in these while you browse the Gallery.
Admission
$15
Purchase tickets online
- Admission is always free for: Visitors age 25 and under, support workers accompanying visitors who need assistance (Leisure Assistant Pass Holders), and all Indigenous peoples.
- Feel Free – Free Gallery Days Supported by TD Bank Group: Admission is free on the first Saturday of the month from 10 am – 5 pm, and every Thursday evening from 5 pm – 9 pm.
- Admission is by donation: The first Tuesday of every month.
- Discounts available: Military families.
It is thanks to the lək̓ʷəŋən speaking people – Songhees and Esquimalt Nations – that we are able to live, play and explore art here.

Art Gallery of Greater Victoria welcomes visitors each day who, each in their own way, actively discover the building’s exhibitions, collections, events and programs. The wellbeing of our staff and volunteers and ensuring our visitors can safely participate in such activities requires a secure, inclusive and respectful space free of harassment and discrimination.
Each person who chooses to visit AGGV is asked to follow the guidelines governing personal conduct and admissibility listed below.
Before you visit AGGV, please be aware of the following general conditions:
Any person or group exhibiting aggressive or threatening behaviour, using objectionable or lewd language, displaying hate-related symbols, or evoking hatred in any way towards another person, or group, will be asked to leave Gallery property.
AGGV takes instances of harassment seriously. We want to provide a safe workplace, free from abusive, threatening or violent behavior.
Harassment is any behaviour that is unwelcome or offensive to the person receiving it.
- Unwanted touching/physical contact
- Threatening language or behavior
- Abusive contact
- Persistent inquiries or contact via social media
Anyone exhibiting these behaviours will be asked to stop and to leave, and if necessary AGGV will call the police.

We want to ensure the Gallery is accessible to everyone, that’s why we offer Admission by Donation day the first Tuesday of every month and Feel Free Days.

Not your typical ‘art tour’. We are pleased to offer engaging explorations of all of our current exhibitions. Facilitators create a relaxed and informal approach to learning and interpretation of exhibitions. Conversation, participation and interaction encourage visitors to connect with art, ideas and other people.
We are happy to accommodate explorations of any current exhibition!
