Urbanite, the hippest, happening night of art and mingling in the city! As part of the Gallery’s adult programming, this event animates themes from our exhibitions in fun and dynamic ways. Experience art through custom cocktails, exhibition interventions, live music and hands-on activities!

Love and geometry form the heart of this Urbanite! If neon, 80’s inspired patterns and wearing sunglasses at night elicits nostalgia, your affections will be won. DJ Nova Jade will have you reaching for your sweatband on the dancefloor as we rock down to electric avenue. Did we mention spandex yet?
Laura Gildner’s interactive performance “Let’s get physical” brings the 80’s aerobics scene back to life. Speaking of getting into shape, did you say hexagon, rhombus, trapezium?! Think geometric with a range of hands-on activities inspired by our current exhibition Beyond the Edges: Art & Geometry.
Don’t miss the love triangle at the bar with wine by Mission Hill, beer by Lighthouse brewery and delicious themed libations by Little Jumbo. With mixologists this good, you’ll be swooning for Tom Cruise from Cocktail.
Glamour station with Shampoo Hair Bar will be channeling the 80’s. For outfit inspiration check out our Pinterest Board!
