Birthday Party Guidelines

Thank you for choosing to have your birthday party at the Gallery. 

The Art Gallery has over 22,000 works in its permanent collection, as well as works from touring exhibitions and as part of the Art Rental + Sales program. The space for your party, in the 100+ year old Spencer Mansion, also hosts artists’ talks, performances, exhibitions, and other events. This unique setting means certain guidelines apply during your event.

By purchasing a birthday party at the Gallery, you agree to the following policies and procedures.

GUIDELINES

• Smoking/vaping is not permitted in the Gallery or on the Gallery property
• Alcohol consumption is only permitted when a liquor license is requested and secured by the Gallery.
• Battery-operated candles only. Open flames are not permitted in the Gallery or on the Gallery property.
• Confetti and decorative glitter are not permitted in the Gallery or on the Gallery property.
• We invite you to decorate with free-standing items.  For the preservation of the space, decorations cannot be stapled, glued, attached, hung, or taped to any walls, fixtures, frames, or windowsills in the building.
• Please bring cupcakes, finger food, drink boxes, canned drinks, and/or individual bottle drinks. The kitchen facilities are not available for public use.
• We kindly ask that all food and drink remain within the party room at all times.
• All exits must remain clear and accessible at all times in case of an emergency.
• When planning your party with us, please plan on taking home what you brought. The Party Organizer is asked to perform a basic cleanup after their event.
• The Gallery will not be responsible for personal injury or damage. The Gallery is also not responsible for theft or loss of clothing or equipment of the Party Organizer or their guests.
• The Party Organizer is responsible for the conduct and supervision of all event attendees, and must ensure that everyone follows all guidelines.
• The Party Organizer agrees to pay for damages from the use of the premises.
• The Party Organizer agrees to follow all regulations outlined in this agreement.
