The Art and Heart of Mindfulness
The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is pleased to invite you and your grade 4/5 class to participate in The Art and Heart of Mindfulness: Discovering the Gift of Perception with Margo McLoughlin! Join us at the Gallery for mindfulness experiences with Margo, Thursdays from October 2019 through March 2020. Each session is approximately 75 minutes. Available in English and French.
Students will experience:
- Unique artworks up close in our galleries.
- New tools for developing an awareness of sensory perception.
- Compassion towards self and others.
- Storytelling by Margo as well as sound explorations with her Hang, a musical instrument.

Margo McLoughlin is passionate about sharing the gift of mindfulness with young learners, and is looking forward to doing this with you at the AGGV! Margo is a Victoria based mindfulness teacher, writer, and professional storyteller, as well as a teacher-on-call with the School District of Greater Victoria. A member of the Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada, Margo holds a Master of Divinity from the Harvard Divinity School. She is the author of two anthologies—Seeds of Generosity: Storytelling in the Classroom and The Giving Heart: Folktales for Exploring Generosity as well as the picture book I Know a Crow.
