Wood blocks, etchings, silkscreen and lithographs trace the development of Japanese printmaking from the 17th century to the present form. It shows the influence Japanese printmaking had on such European artists as Degas and Toulouse-Lautrec and the influence of western expressionists, cubists, futurists, etc., on modern Japanese printmaking.
