Family Sunday: A Season of Celebration
Dec 14 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmCelebrate December’s Family Sunday with our featured artist, Victoria Symphony Orchestra percussionist Masako Hockey, who will lead an interactive musical experience alongside a hands-on instrument-making activity. Masako will ignite curiosity and excitement by teaching how rhythm and texture exist in music, as they do in visual art.
Inspired by the Fifty Shades of Ink: Ink Paintings from the AGGV Collection, create ink using an ink stick and stone and try ink-blot printmaking to make a card to share. Engage in the Gallery scavenger hunt with a draw for an artful prize package and enjoy a festive day of creativity, music, and fun for all ages.

Family Sunday happens every third (and sometimes second or fourth) Sunday of the month from October – June, and is an afternoon of exploring hands-on art-making and ideas for all ages. This recurring program often features special guests like storytellers, artists, performers or musicians.
