Join Barry Till, AGGV Curator Emeritus of Asian Arts, on a unique customized 15 day tour of South Japan!

Timed for the peak of Southern Japan’s fall colours, you will visit ancient and modern Japanese art museums, Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, traditional gardens, villages and historic pottery towns. Experience the amazing countryside while driving the Shimanami Highway (10 bridges connecting 6 scenic islands), making soba noodles with locals, strolling across a vine bridge, or viewing unique whirlpools. Visits to Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Kyoto and Osaka will provide you with unique cultural experiences. We are particularly pleased to offer an overnight to the pilgrimage site of Mt. Koya to learn about Buddhist culture and food, and to stroll among intriguing cemetery markers.

Cost: $8250 per person – Double Occupancy – Land Only

Single Supplement: $1400

Pricing is based on current itinerary – there may be small additional charges due to the availability of additional sightseeing destinations at time of final booking
