Tyson Loreth

Tyson Loreth is a long time resident of Victoria, having lived in the community for more than 37 years. Growing up just a short distance from the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, Tyson has a deep personal connection to the cultural fabric of the city. He is a graduate of both Camosun College and the University of Victoria, and is proud to continue contributing to the region he calls home.
Tyson is an accomplished project and capital program leader with over 15 years of experience across both the public and private sectors. His professional expertise includes strategic planning, governance support, and the successful implementation of complex capital projects. Throughout his career, he has contributed to a wide range of sectors, including private development, healthcare, transportation, water and infrastructure, and post secondary education.

In his current role as Director of Campus Planning and Capital Projects at Camosun College, Tyson oversees the institution’s capital portfolio, supports the delivery of all capital investments, and leads the development of the College’s one, three, and five year capital plans. His work focuses on long term value, stewardship of public resources, and aligning capital investments with organizational vision and community impact.

Outside of work, Tyson spends his time with his family—his wife Julia, daughter Kate, and son Luke. Together, they enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, further strengthening their connection to the Victoria community.
