Mona Chai
Mona’s connection with the Gallery began as a member of the Associates of the AGGV, in 2017, one year after she and her husband had settled down in Victoria. As an art lover who resides near AGGV, Mona became involved in the activities of the Associates and AGGV, including the AGGV Advancement Committee. Mona holds a degree in EMBA and was engaged in business operation and management for many years before coming to Canada. She started to learn painting and calligraphy while a teenage. She has a keen understanding of Chinese art and culture and has established a close connection with the local Chinese community here. Her unique background might enable her to support consolidating a synergy among art and business, as well as potentially open up new opportunities for fund-raising.
