School Workshops

(in-person)

Every fall, the AGGV delivers our popular workshops in schools featuring a local artist, in partnership with UVic’s Indigenous Education Department. We look forward to learning, experimenting and making with you!

Workshops are for grades 4-12* in school districts 61, 62 and 63 (Victoria, Sooke, and Saanich, BC) and are offered Wednesday mornings (approx. 9am-noon) September 28 – November 30. The cost per workshop is $125.

*Workshops are usually for two classes, 60 students max. We recommend that 2 teachers combine classes to enjoy the experience together.

The registration link will be live HERE in September. In the meantime, email schoolprograms@aggv.ca with any questions.

2022 workshops will be inspired by our brand new Teacher Resource Guide entitled “Honouring”, featuring the artwork of three inspiring contemporary Indigenous artists. Available to download soon.

Watch now to see highlights from the 2021 workshops inspired by Dylan Thomas’s (Qwul’thilum’s) artworks from our latest Teacher Resource Guide — free to download and enjoy here — featuring local/guest artist Alex Chen.
