Let’s get creative about the future of the Gallery.
The Gallery is Evolving
Between October 2022 and November 2023, the AGGV has hosted a number of workshops, launched a public survey and has undertaken comprehensive market research to gather information from the community about the future role of the Gallery. We asked the public how we can make the Gallery experience the best it can be.
Our goal is to listen and respond to the community
As we embark on an ambitious visioning and strategic planning process, we invited important community stakeholders to join the conversation. Over 1000 people from the community have responded, including AGGV members, donors, volunteers, AGGV staff and management, artists, arts administrators, educators, new Canadians and immigrants, members of the BIPOC community, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people living with disabilities. Engagement with the Indigenous community is ongoing.
Please join us in developing the vision for your Gallery.
From Nov 1 – Nov 14 2023, we hosted a free Public Open House during regular Gallery hours interpreting the results of the year long public engagement initiative. Feedback from the community will inform our strategic planning and impact the types of exhibitions and programs that we offer.
Thank you for helping to develop the future vision for the Gallery and sharing what matters to you and the stories that we need to tell.
