The Gallery currently has an opening for an Administrative Coordinator. The primary functions of this position are to provide professional administrative support and project coordination to the Director, the Board of Directors of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria (AGGV), and Senior Management of the Gallery.
Excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, exercise good initiative and judgement are required. We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual who loves administration and can be relied on do things efficiently and accurately, including handling confidential information and compliance administration.
The successful candidate will have a knack for creating efficient administrative systems and 2-3 years previous work experience in a similar position providing senior administrative support, performed according to clearly defined methods and procedures, both independently and under the direction of senior management.
This position is a 28-hour per week role which includes some evening and weekend hours. There is a potential for the role to periodically increase to 35 hours per week based on project needs. Work can be completed in office on set days of the week with the potential for remaining work to be completed remotely.
