Victoria’s hottest night of art and mingling is back!

This Urbanite will mark our farewell to the travelling exhibition, From Warhol to Bansky, which invites visitors to view works of art that define the Pop Art movement and highlights the careers of some of the art world’s most iconic figures. It’s also the perfect opportunity to see our permanent exhibition A View From Here: Reimagining the AGGV Collections, and your last chance to catch Beauty of Mending: Kintsugi and Beyond, and Pop Art sister show, From Balzar to Hunt.
We’ve got a full evening of Pop Art planned for ticket holders! DJ Joshua James will get your feet moving on the dancefloor, while exhibitions are activated throughout the Gallery, including creative activities, and performances. Want to show off your Pop Art outfit? Get glammed up with Shampoo Hair Bar and then strike a pose at the Photo Booth – Check out our Urbanite Mood Board for outfit inspiration! Grab a snack at the Pop-Tart and Snack Stations, enjoy custom cocktails, mocktails, refreshments, and much more!
Event Schedule:
7:00 – Doors open for Patron Ticket holders.
7:30 – Art activities begin throughout the Gallery.
8:00 – Doors open for General Ticket holders.
8:30 – Talk with AGGV Chief Curator, Steven McNeil and drag artist, Eddi Licious.
9:00 – Talk and Kimono Fashion Show with kimono expert, Hitomi Harama.
9:30 – Drag performance by Eddi Licious.
10:15 – Last call for cocktails and drinks.
11:00 – Goodnight, and thanks for coming!
Please Note:
- This is a 19+ event! All attendees must show 2 pieces of ID before entering.
- The Gallery has very limited parking and cars can not stay over night.
- Please plan ahead to arrange a safe way to and from the event, like cabs or public transportation.
