The Gallery Shop is a gift shop for all occasions and all budgets. Wedding presents, anniversary gifts, birthdays, or just because.... there's many reasons to treat your loved one, or yourself, to a special little gift, and you’re supporting Victoria artisans, Canadian businesses and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria all at the same time.
To complement the AGGV's permanent collection of Emily Carr’s work, the Gallery Shop boasts a full assortment of images from the internationally renowned artist. From posters to postcards and art cards, there’s
sure to be something for every fan of this Canadian icon. We also carry a variety of biographies and art books, as well as a large selection of Carr’s own writings.
Among our pottery works are pieces by Wayne Ngan, Tobias Tomlinson, and Bill Boyd. Colourful glass works by Mark Roth and Jo Ludwig grace our shelves alongside local jewellery artists Wanda Shum, Jill Rockwell, and Ed Kennedy. Over 60 artists, jewellery designers and authors are represented here.
We have a large selection of exhibition catalogues that support our extensive Emily Carr collection, our Asian arts collection, Chinese and Japanese Woodblock prints, Samurai, and other past exhibitions. As well as Emily Carr posters and cards, we have images from the Group of Seven, EJ Hughes, Tom Thomson, and many other Canadian artists. Currently, William Kurelek art cards and posters are a popular choice.
Many of our current exhibition catalogues and specialty books are available online at ABC Art Books Canada.
Here’s a couple of great corporate gift ideas - an Art Gallery gift certificate or Membership. Both are available in any denomination making a perfect tribute for recognizing achievements. They can be ordered and personalized, wrapped and ready for pick-up within one business day. Or choose a substantial silver or glass piece from Victoria based or Canadian artisans.
