DescriptionThis skirt is made of plain brown silk & decorated with an identical panel of embroidery at front & back. The motifs appearing in the panel include a vase holding peonies (symbol of spring, wealth, love & beauty), the four accomplishments: musical instruments, chess, books & scrolls of painting; symbols of progeny(the pomegranates & melons); & other auspicious symbols like the peach(longevity), Buddha's hand(wealth), & the ju-i signifying good wishes for prosperity or "hearts desires made perfect"
