DescriptionThe robe is made of a thin blue gauze or silk woven with a pattern of dragons among clouds; symbols of the 8 Taoist Immortals(sword, fan, flower-basker, lotus, flute, gourd, castanet & musical tube); the success rebus forming descriptive phrase: "three spears(halberds) rising from a vase," meaning "May I rise 3 degrees in official rank without opposition.; stylized lotus(symbol of joy & mid-autumn). The base of the robe & the sleeve-ends are decorated with the stylized wave-pattern & earth-mountain design
