I am the Educator of School and Family Programs at the Art Gallery. I hold a BFA in Media Arts from Emily Carr University in Vancouver BC and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College, Vermont USA. I began my work as an art educator on Vancouver's Eastside at inner city schools and non-profits with families facing multiple barriers. My experiences connecting with co-learners at that time inspired a path of art engagement in schools, post-secondary institutions and galleries.
My deep interest in progressive and liberatory education has inspired me to pursue teacher training in Iyengar Yoga. I am passionate about many things! Education as community building, learning how to be a good visitor on this great turtle island, dialogic and performance art practices, social justice, and continually exploring how art practice can be activism.
