November 7 – June 5, 2016 |  Drury Gallery | Curated by Michelle Jacques

As we look forward to our future in a new building with its new spaces in which to display our rich holdings, Case Studies provides an opportunity to examine some of the remarkable objects of material culture in the Gallery’s collection. An exhibition in the form of an experiment, a wide range of decorative art will be displayed, and in each display case, a different element – such as artist or maker, colour, form, geography or function – will serve as the organizing device. At once playful and analytical, Case Studies aims to explore how a collection can be used to create experiences that elucidate, engage and entertain.

This exhibition sponsored by the Gallery Associates of the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
