DescriptionA: consists of a long tubular piece of bamboo with ivory inserts with metal rings at either end. One end has a large perforation inside 2 concentric carved rings. The other end is somewhat rounded with a small perforation. At 1/3 of its length the pipe is wrapped with a circular metal piece with an upright perforated neck that houses the bowl. In addition there is a small 5 pronged bamboo piece jutting out from the pipe at the base of this. B: Bowl is circular, steep-walled, with a cover on the top with a small perforation in the centre and metal ring around the top edge. There are incised decorative motifs and Chinese characters around the sides. Elongated tubular metal piece on the bottom fits into the attachment on the pipe.
