DescriptionCarved wax relief with frame mounted on board covered in red silk Renaissance velvet. Subject of the relief consists of the dead Christ supported in the arms of God, with a dove (representing the Holy Spirit) hovering above the central figures, two angels to either side holding (symbols of the crucifixion) a column and a cross surrounded by clouds in which a cherub's head appears bottom centre.
