BiographyThe Elite Works was opened in Limoges France in the 1896 to both manufacture and decorate procelain make by other factories. Their production included some of the most exquisite hand painted china, decorative pieces and jewelery produced during this time period. The majority of the patterns were, but not limited to, floral designs. The company ised several identifying marks; several included the St Martial from the seal of the City of Limoges. Production was interrupted during WWI. Post war they were purchased by the Wm. Geurin Company and continued to use the Elite marks until the company known as Guerin-Pouyat-Elite closed in 1932.
