Edward Scrope Shrapnel
BiographyEdward Shrapnel spent the second half of his life in Victoria and was a frequent exhibitor at local fairs beginning in the 1890s. He was born in England but immigrated to Canada around 1860 living at first in Ontario where he became a member of the Ontario Society of Artist and then an RSA member in 1880. He moved to Victoria in 1889 and was a founding president of the Victoria's art Association. Best known for his watercolours of various parts of Canada.
