Jean Goodman Roberts

Jean Goodman Roberts was a teacher at South Park and George Jay Elementary Schools in Victoria, BC. One of the three students participating in the pottery class instructed by Mary Young at the Victoria Summer School for Teachers in 1923, Roberts was devoted to the use of local Vancouver Island clay, mould-making, and the use of the potter's wheel. A display of her techniques and examples of her work were shown in the gallery of the Victoria Hudson's Bay Co. store, in October 1923.
