BiographyPainter Helen Boyd Keen received her early schooling at the Annie Wright School in Tacoma, Washington, where her father was a trustee for over twenty years. Beginning in the mid- 1930s, she studied under Mark Tobey for ten years, and at the Art Students League in New York under Jon Corbino, Philip Leslie Hale, and Vaclav Vytlacil. She resided in New York City from 1945 until her death in 1992.
