DescriptionSilk thread embroidered floral motifs, birds & butterflies on a pale blue satin background; each corner has two peacocks; centre had a large round floral, insect & Buddhist symbols bordered motif inside which there is a peacock, five other birds & large flowers (ie chrysanthemums). The bedspread has a multicoloured silk thread fringe & four elaborate detachable tassels. The backing is orange. This bedspread came in a highly decorated lacquered wood box (87.27.1.2 a-e).
