DescriptionHead of a Bodhisattva has long ears, short hair and wears a crown with a central ball or orb on a lotus base at top. The crown has five pointed and one rounded arch sections, each with the incised image of a seated crowned figure on a lotus throne. Lower band of the crown has two dragons. Two elongated bands with Chinese characters hang from the crown at the back of the head. Fine details on the head have been incised and stained with black pigment. There has been a later application of gold paint in the recessed areas.
