DescriptionAn Emperor's Pufu overcoat turned into a woman's informal coat by adding trimmings; black satin, blue silk lining; gold couched-thread & satin stitch silk thread embroidery; of the 4 main circular motifs, the one on the left shoulder contains the sun (3 legged bird) symbol, the one on the right shoulder, the moon(hare) symbol; medallions also have the Eight Precious Things & the Eight Buddhist Symbols etc; embroidered panels added to sleeves (white satin border) at neck and bottom of the garment
