DescriptionDiptych depicts a steam train at Yatsunoyama in Tokyo, stopped on an embankment over the water. At lower right, a foreign woman riding a horse sidesaddle, crosses a stone bridge following a rickshaw and pedestrians. The harbour is crowded with large sailing ships and smaller traditional Japanese boats, with a steam paddle wheeler at left. A lighthouse stands on one of the small islands in the centre.Status
