DescriptionThe sheet steel has been crumpled in such a way as to make its contours lead in from the side in powerful curves to meet at the center in a dominant ridge. Birdlike wings to either side above give a decided left to the composition & lend emphasis by contrast of its marked angularities to the prevailing curves of line & surface. Spraying of the metal has given the work a mirrorlike polish which enhances the dynamic effect by reflecting shapes surrounding it in variations of light & dark which change constantly as the spectator moves around the piece-from the Baldinger evaluationStatus
