DescriptionHarlequin figure is stilled in his dance like movement in front of a candlestick tree with a single large flower bud forming the candle holder at its top. Moulded base has irregular openings in the underside of its scroll decoration, creating several feet. There is a cluster of moulded flowers & leaves applied in relief at the base of tree, in centre & also a trailing floral vine that corkscrews around the tree trunk, up to the spreading foliate drip pans which incircle the moulded flower bud holder. Colours are of a pastel hue including the brownish rose, pink, yellow & turquoise which are thickly painted on the harlequins costume.Status
