DescriptionBird feeder is a fluted hollow bamboo tube with two truncated ends capped with black lacquerware and a decorative band of inset silver wire. Cap on top is concave with a circular perforation at centre for adding seeds. There is a large opening on one side with a band of ivory edging. A carved swivelling ivory fastener on the back depicts two figures and is grooved to accept the bars of a cage.
