DescriptionTutelary deity & Sakti (Yab Yum). Male - skillful means. Female - wisdon. Kalacakra (Sanskrit) Duskyi hKhor-lo (Tibetan). Known as the wheel of Life. She holds in her right hands a tantric sceptre, damaru (twin skull drum) & an undetermined ritual object. Her left hands hold a noose, a sprig of vegetation, & a peacock feather. His left hands hold severed heads, chains, a mirror, a conch shell, a sprig of vegetation, a peacock feather, a noose, a bow, a blood filled Kapala or skull cup, & a tantric sceptre with three heads impaled. His right hands hold a dorje-headed goad, two undetermined sceptre like ritual objects, a Buddhist eight-spoked wheel, another goad, an arrow, a dorje-headed chopper & a renunciant's trident (Khatvanga). Both figures trample the figures of ignorance & delusion. The whole tableau is mounted on a white lotus.Status
