DescriptionHelmeted figure of a bearded Mars, holding a shield with his left arm & a spear in his right (missing), dressed in a mauve & gilt cuirass, pink skirt with green extensions. He is standing against a stump with axe concealed behind & two cannon balls (?) at his sandalled feet. Base is shallow & scrolled with puce-coloured highlights.Status
