DescriptionPainted in blue & manganese purple on a bluish white ground with ferns & flowers, the so-called mimosa pattern. This pattern was named mimosa only in England. It is actually a sketchy variation of some eithteenth century Chinese designs representing peonies & prunus. The design is repeated in the center between concentric blue lines.
