Descriptionwhite silk over a light wooden core; embroidered flower & scroll patterns in silver thread; little mirrors are regularly spaced on the hat; flat cut-out designs of a butterfly, feathers & moth or bat in silver; the large central butterfly surmounts a piece of oblong white porcelain shaped to look like a plaque of white jade; the crown is joined to a taller crest; two pieces of cottom fabric are found behind the position of the ears, probably for tying beneath the chin
