Descriptiona.Iron helmet with attached louvered neck-guard plates laced together with silk braid in dark blue and gold(?). Helmet has ridges emanating from a circular vent at top and is covered with dark brown lacquer. Peak at front is covered with a lacquered covered layer in gold with impressed patterns. There are brass details: around the circular vent on top, ring attachment at top back, and four large decorative bolts around rim. A patterned (lions/leaf motifs) leather cord ending in three flat sashes is attached to the ring element. Two rectangular upright elements with mons (Family Crest - Ando) are on either side of the face opening. Small rectangular female section for holding kuwagata is at front centre. b. thick cloth cordStatus
