DescriptionBiedermeier style two handled bowl with lid and small foot. Bowl has a gilt inscription on one side and on the other side a multi-coloured scene with people seated in a library? at a table with books. There three medallions on the lid decorated with ivy, forget'me-nots and wheat. Sections in between on the lid and bowl have gold stars on a blue background. Handles and finial are ornate and glazed with gilt. There are many ornate gilt details overall as well as gilt on the interior.Status
