DescriptionLord Justice Nathanial Lindley F.R.S, 1828 - 1921, born at Chiswich & educated at University College, Gower Street. He was called to the Bar in 1850. He specialized in all aspects of the Law of Partnership & in 1860 he published 'A Treatise on the Law of Partnership' which became the leading work on the subject. He first became a judge in 1875, & was made Lord Justice in 1881 & Master of the Rolls, a Judge of the Court of Apeals, in 1897. His reputation stands high amongst lawyers, though his is little known to the world.Status
