DescriptionThis Mikatsu & Hanshichi print is one of a set of twenty-four published in 1797-98, of which fifteen have been identified. Each print shows a young woman with her lover in some intimate moment. Mikatsu, seen in three-quarter length, looms over Hanshichi, below & slightly behind her. Her head is inclined demurely & her fingers modestly interlocked. Hanshichi seems lost in thought.
