DescriptionA bronze oval plaque, known as 'zichenpei' depicting a small rat (bottom) seen from above on the elongated body of a dragon with a frontal head (top). the rat represents 'zi' - the first of the Earthly Branches and the dragon represents 'chen' the fifth of the Earthly Branches forming the rebus 'zichenpei' - 'the emperor and his subject'. These Emperor and Subject plaques are usually made of jade.Status
