DescriptionPrint depicting the Battle of Jinzhou during the Russo-Japanese War. At right, Japanese generals and officers gather atop a hill overlooking the battlefield, the highest ranking officer at far right gesturing with his gloved hand. He wears a black jacket trimmed in gold with a medal pinned to his chest, the tails of his coat fluttering behind him as his horse rears. At lower left a row of Japanese cannon fire off a volley of shots as troops rush forward to meet the Russians pouring from the gate of a large fortress. Shots explode in bursts of flame and gray smoke, and a fire rages inside the walls of the complex.Status
