DescriptionScene from the Sino-Japanese War of Japanese troops attacking a Chinese fortress. Japanese forces rush forward from left and right to meet the Chinese troops pouring out of the entrance gate at right, clashing with sword, bayonets, and pole arms. Several wounded or dead enemies lie beside a dismantled cannon at bottom center, while at left a Japanese soldier engages two attackers at the same time. Japanese warships fire on the fortress, with shots exploding along the wall and orange flames billowing skywards.Status
