The legend indicated the lover of Soga Juro Sukenari, Tora gozen, became the stone after her death. A mother and daughter passed by and said, "the stone refuses to be picked up by an ugly man but will be lifted by a handsome man. Although Tora gozen became a stone, it is still a woman!".
