DescriptionThree dimensional sculpture of carved granitic stone, representing the goddess Lakshmi, also called Shri Devi. Lakshmi, wife of the god Vishnu, is a goddess of prosperity and fertility. Her left hand holds a lotus bud, a typical iconographic attribute of this goddess, related to auspiciousness and fecundity. A breast band further indentifies the figure as the goddess Lakshmi.Status
